                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSING OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AND NORTH CHATTANOOGA AREA, MORE PARTICU-
                   LARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY, MAY 1,
                   1993 FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 7:30 P.M. FOR THE
                   PRESENTATION OF THE "WALNUT STREET
                   BRIDGEFEST" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE
                   WALNUT STREET BRIDGEFEST COMMITTEE UNDER
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                   
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the northbound lanes of Market Street 
between
       1st Street and Frazier Avenue, the southbound lane of Market
       Street nearest the centerline between Frazier Avenue and 1st
       Street, 1st Street between Cherry Street and Market Street, 
Cherry
       Street between 3rd Street and 1st Street, 3rd Street between
       Cherry Street and Lindsay Street, Lookout Street between 3rd
       Street and 4th Street, the two eastbound lanes nearest to the
       north curb of 4th Street between Walnut Street and Georgia 
Avenue,
       the two southbound lanes nearest to the west curb of the 
Veteran's
       Bridge between Frazier Avenue and 4th Street, the southbound ramp 

       from the Veteran's Bridge to Riverside Drive, the eastbound lanes 

       of Frazier Avenue between Market Street and Barton Avenue, High
       Street between 5th Street and 3rd Street, Walnut Street between
       5th Street and 2nd Street, and the eastbound ramp from Riverside
       Drive to Lookout Street on Saturday, May 1, 1993 from 8:00 a.m. 
to
       7:30 p.m. for the presentation of the "Walnut Street BridgeFest"
       under the sponsorship of the Walnut Street BridgeFest Committee.  

       The sponsors are responsible for the installation and removal of
       all traffic control devices (such as cones, barricades, signs,
       etc.) in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto 

       and shall provide at all times an access lane for emergency
       vehicles.
